Under the name of “You do well”, Unilever de Puerto Rico launched its social sustainability program to reaffirm its commitment to the environment. With the endorsement of the non-profit organization, Basura Cero de Puerto Rico, all the people who buy the participating products of the Unilever company will be contributing to said organization to continue with its education and solid waste management programs for the benefit of public health and conservation of natural resources.
“We know that our consumers want to do well, and by buying our products you help the conservation of planet earth.” That is why at Unilever de Puerto Rico we have given ourselves the task of educating on the importance of recycling and thus helping to reduce the amount of garbage we generate, “said Grecia Santiago, Trade in Store Visibility Specialist of Unilever Puerto Rico.
From September 1 to September 30, people who purchase the following Unilever products will be doing good for Zero Waste of Puerto Rico to continue its mission: Suave Professionals, Dove, TRESemmé, St. Ives, Lipton, Ben & Jerry’s, Talenti, Breyers and Hellmann’s.
For his part, David de Sevilla, president of Zero Waste of Puerto Rico commented: “Collaborating with a company of the stature of Unilever to carry the message about how vital it is to reduce the amount of garbage that is generated is fundamental for our organization. . Their commitment to the environment is being demonstrated in this educational program that, with the contribution of all citizens, will help us to continue with our goal of contributing with better solid waste management strategies ”.
