Lazos de Amor Foundation announces the delivery of grants

The non-profit organization, Lazos de Amor, focused on offering help to homeless people on the Island since the passage of Hurricane María in 2017, announced the impact initiatives that it will soon execute in the municipalities of Arecibo, Guaynabo and Carolina.

In a joint effort with the project Farmers to Family Food Box Program, Lazos de Amor will be carrying food and essential items on the following dates and places:

  • September 9: Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal MI (Miraflores neighborhood, sector Espino Carr. 663 km. 4.8, in Arecibo).
  • September, 10th: Baptist Church of the San Antón neighborhood, in Carolina.
  • 11 of September: Casa de Bendición Church (Carr. 8834 Sunsette Hills Urbanization – A Street Corner B, Ríos neighborhood, in Guaynabo).

“All these impacts will be in the car service mode and all participants of the delivery must remain in their cars and with masks at all times to guarantee the measures of the Executive Order for the prevention of coronavirus infections. In this way, we invite residents of these areas, who have not received this aid, to come “, said the executive director of the organization, Elizabeth Moya.

“In every disaster we have said present to help families in need. For this reason we have been impacting communities with the delivery of perishable food during the emergency caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, “he added.

Lazos de Amor -so far- has delivered 511,089 pounds of food and impacted more than 43,000 people throughout Puerto Rico.
