SAN JUAN – A woman was injured with a knife allegedly at the hands of her consensual partner in an incident of gender violence that occurred on Saturday night, in the Litheda Heights urbanization, in San Juan, police confirmed.
Shortly after the attack the authorities arrested Jimmy Meléndez Green, who is listed as a suspect in the assault with a knife on his partner.
The victim of the incident was transported to the Río Piedras Medical Center and at the moment his health condition is unknown.
Meléndez Green is in a cell awaiting charges.
The case is in charge of the prosecutor Mayte Flores and it is expected that in the next few hours Meléndez Green will be charged.
