A man died at dawn today, Saturday, after receiving a gunshot wound in the El Toa residential area, in Toa Baja, police said.
According to preliminary information, the authorities received a call at around 1:17 am through the 9-1-1 Emergency System, in which they were alerted to detonations at the scene.
Upon arrival, the agents were informed that a man wounded by a bullet in the chest area had already been taken to the Cataño Diagnosis and Treatment Center.
The subject, identified by his mother as Bryant Lebrón Ortiz, 21, died of gunshot wounds.
Agents assigned to the Homicide Division of the Bayamón Criminal Investigation Corps and prosecutor Iván De Jesús took charge of the investigation.
