Manuel Natal surpasses Miguel Romero in the mayoral race of San Juan

A historic election in the capital city is presented with 75.34% of the schools reported when the mayoral candidate for the Victoria Ciudadana Movement, Manuel Natal, outperformed the PNP candidate, Miguel Romero, by less than one hundred votes.

With 388 of the 515 schools reported, Natal had a total of 31,117 votes in contrast to Romero who has 31,051.

The change came just minutes after the New Progressive candidate said at a press conference that he was confident of his victory in the capital city.

If he wins, he would be the first candidate outside the bipartisan system to win the mayor’s office in San Juan.
