Mayor of Loíza tests negative for a coronavirus molecular test

The Mayor of Loíza, Julia Nazario, reported today that she has tested negative for COVID-19.

“I am pleased to announce that the results of both tests (rapid and molecular) for Covid-19 were negative. I thank all your good wishes and I urge you to protect yourself properly. Together we will succeed in overcoming the pandemic, "said the mayor in written statements.

She is quarantined

The mayor reported several days ago that she learned that a person with whom she shared last week gave positive for the coronavirus molecular test, and although at the meeting she was wearing a mask, she chose to quarantine until the results arrived, which she reported to the country today.

The mayor indicated that on Sunday morning, The Department reported that confirmed positive cases for Covid-19 in Puerto Rico totaled 2,583 with an additional 148, while probable infections were placed with 7,071 with 106 more infected. The metropolitan area continues to be the region with the most reported cases.
