Meetings begin for new executive order for COVID-19

Expert groups advising Governor Wanda Vázquez for executive orders on the issue of the COVID-19 coronavirus began meeting to present their recommendations.

This was announced by the Secretary of the Department of Health, Lorenzo González, who in an interview with Radio Isla indicated that they hope to deliver the suggestions to the first executive tomorrow.

The new executive order will come into force on October 17, since the current one was only extended for two weeks.

According to González, the most worrying thing for this new order will be the deaths from COVID-19.

To date, a total of 27,139 accumulated confirmed cases have been reported in Puerto Rico, while deaths are at 557.
