More than 26 thousand confirmed and probable cases of Covid-19 in the Country | government

The Department of Health report reported six deaths from Covid-19; Meanwhile, 181 confirmed cases and 158 additional probable cases were registered.

With these new cases, there are 26,006 confirmed and probable positives accumulated since the pandemic began.

Of the total reported deaths, four were classified as confirmed and are the following: 77-year-old woman from the Bayamón region; 54-year-old man from the Metro region; 78-year-old woman from the Metro region and 86-year-old woman from the Metro region.

On the other hand, two probable deaths of a 59-year-old woman from the Metro region and an 82-year-old woman from the metro region were reported. Aguadilla.

With the fatalities reported, the confirmed deaths add up to 205 and the probable ones are 130, therefore, the total number of deaths is 335. Health highlighted that any death registered after the report is issued will be reflected in subsequent reports .

On the other hand, the total of the results of confirmed cases of COVID-19 is 11,251. The total was adjusted after adding one case with a sampling date of July 24. Of that total, 5,814 are women and 5,437 men. The reported cases are those that have a positive PCR test, with a sample collection date of August 3 to 13.

As part of the report, 158 additional probable cases were registered, with a sample collection date that includes 6 to August 13. In this line, the total is 14,755, after being adjusted, by subtracting 35 cases that had a positive molecular test, later, and were added to the cases registered as part of this report. Similarly, six cases were added with sampling dates between June 29 and July 29. Probable cases are divided into 8,083 women and 6,672 men.
