More than a thousand deaths from Covid-19 in the Country | government


The Health Department report reported an additional 21 deaths from Covid-19, bringing this number to a total of 1,012.

Last week, the Secretary of Health, Lorenzo González, estimated that deaths from Covid-19 will exceed a thousand by Thanksgiving. There are still five days to go before the celebration of this holiday.

The reported deaths are broken down below:

– 85-year-old man from the Ponce region

– 54-year-old man from the Caguas region

– 46-year-old woman from the Metro region

– 61-year-old man from the Metro region

– 54-year-old man from the Aguadilla region

– 73-year-old man from the Metro region

– 93-year-old woman from the Bayamón region

– 54-year-old man from the Metro region

– 75-year-old man from the Metro region

– 53-year-old woman from the Caguas region

– 82-year-old woman from the Caguas region

– 87-year-old man from the Metro region

– 59-year-old man from the Arecibo region

– 83-year-old woman from the Ponce region

– 87-year-old man from the Metro region

– 68-year-old man from the Bayamón region

– 92-year-old woman from the Bayamón region

– 82-year-old man from the Aguadilla region

– 79-year-old man from the Fajardo region

– 73-year-old man from the Metro region

– 95-year-old man from the Metro region

With these additional deaths, the total number of deaths is 1,012. But the Department of Health recalled that any death registered after the report was issued will be reflected in subsequent reports and that the change in the number of deaths should not be interpreted as occurring in the last 24 hours.

In addition, 1,444 new confirmed and probable cases were registered.
