San Juan – The mayor of San Juan, Carmen Yulín Cruz Soto, extended for one more weekend the presentation in the Luis Muñoz Marín Park of the photographic exhibition “3,000 NUNCA MAS / NEVER AGAIN” to remember the lives lost during the emergency of the atmospheric phenomenon .
Due to the pandemic caused by the COVID-19 virus, the exposure can be seen through a trolley in the Luis Muñoz Marín Park.
“For the second weekend we presented the exhibition“ 3,000 NEVER AGAIN / NEVER AGAIN ”to pay tribute to our people and communities that bravely demonstrated their ability to take care of those who have less after the ravages of Hurricane Maria. Given the abandonment of those who had the responsibility to help us and the ineptitude and bureaucracy of the federal government, the communities, hand in hand with the municipalities as the only support in the first line of response, ”said the First Executive of San Juan.
Carmen Yulín said that “the pandemic forces us to keep our distance and keep ourselves behind a mask, but that is not enough for Puerto Rico not to remember the 3,000 people who did not see the light today and the effort of those who remained to resume the newspaper live from a town. This weekend, September 26 and 27, 3000 NEVER MORE / NEVER AGAIN is back at Parque Luis Muñoz Marín ”.
“In response to the request of citizens who could not attend last weekend, we invite you to visit Luis Muñoz Marín Park this weekend to see the exhibition” 3,000 never again / never again “tomorrow Saturday and Sunday at hours from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The entrance is free of cost. The memory of these 3,000 Puerto Ricans who are not here today has to call us to build a country of solidarity where we can face the responsibility that this never happens again ”, he concluded.
