Multiple flood warnings are issued for eastern towns

The saturated lands in Puerto Rico cannot stand any more rain, so as soon as the afternoon showers begin, the risk of flooding will increase. The National Meteorological Service (SNM) maintains a flood watch for all of Puerto Rico and several warnings were issued in several eastern towns for the accumulation of water that occurs as precipitation increases in the area.

Fajardo, Luquillo and Río Grande are under warning until 1:00 in the afternoon, while Ceiba, Humacao, Las Piedras, Naguabo are under the same risk until 12:30 pm

The presence of a trough and a tropical wave in the local area increase humidity, which is why in the afternoons more downpours will develop in the municipalities of the interior of Puerto Rico.
