JUANA DÍAZ – The Municipality of Juana Díaz again activated the municipal contingency plan for exposure to COVID-19 this time in the face of the positive case to COVID-19 of one of the employees of the Office of Administrative Services and Collections, it was reported on Monday.

According to the mayor of Juana, Ramón Hernández Torres, the intervention process was activated with the resources of Operación Vida to address this case.

“I must indicate that in the cases that we have had to handle directly between our employees, they have not meant additional situations in the immediate work environment. However, together with our staff, the internal effort is maintained to reinforce these necessary precautionary measures in each respective area of ​​work and service to citizens. I urge our fellow citizens to find their bearings and call the Operación Vida telephone number at 787-903-8232 for orientation, case monitoring and coordination of confirmatory tests, ”Hernández Torres said in a written communication.

He explained that as part of the protocol, a cleaning and disinfection process was scheduled for this Tuesday, November 17, to carry out a cleaning and disinfection process in the Offices located in the City Hall Building, so that services will not be provided in the administrative area at least during this day. Work will resume on Wednesday, November 18 at regular time.

In addition, personnel from the Operation Life Tracking Program worked the process of individual interviews to find out the scope of the contacts and will be coordinating the performance of confirmatory tests on all employees of said agency.

Hernández Torres urged the public not to lower their guard and to orient themselves with respect to carrying out the confirmatory tests as essential measures to try to stop the increase in the spread of COVID-19.
