San Juan – The mayor of San Juan, Carmen Yulín Cruz Soto, announced that on Tuesday, October 6, a sound test will be carried out for the installation of a new alarm system that, in the event of a Tsunami emergency, will alert residents of said community and those who live on Norzagaray Street.
“Tomorrow there will be a sound test in La Perla for the installation of an alarm that will alert, in the event of a Tsunami emergency, the residents of the community and those on Calle Norzagaray. It is a sound check and we want our residents to be forewarned, ”said the First Executive of San Juan in written communication.
He indicated that “the sound checks will take place between 9:00 am and 12:00 pm and should be heard throughout the La Perla community and on Norzagaray Street from the Abraham Lincoln has Imperial School.”
“For the benefit of residents, merchants, visitors and people who work in Old San Juan and La Perla, a sound bus will be passing by to announce the test,” he concluded
