VEGA ALTA – The Municipality of Vega Alta reported this Thursday that on Wednesday they closed the Municipal Police Headquarters for disinfection, due to six positive cases in tests of Covid-19 in said security force, composed of 38 people between guards and police.
“Security services are continued through the mobile barracks, with the telephone number 787-400-3578 for immediate attention. All the colleagues received the serological and molecular tests, with activation of the rigorous protocols, as well as the decontamination of the patrols, ”explained Evelyn Landrón, director of human resources at Vega Alta, in written statements.
In the case of the Municipal Emergency Management Office, where two positive cases were registered in serological tests in the group of 30 people that make up the unit, citizens who require service should call the 9-1-1 Emergency System, at JJ Ambulance at 787-375-0169 or 787-214-3256.
As soon as the process of disinfection of the Municipal Police facilities is completed, the personnel who are negative in the tests will return to their work.
The tracking of relatives and friends began on Wednesday and ends this Thursday.
“We reiterate that Police and Emergency Management services will continue to be offered in Vega Alta without interruption.
