
The Department of Health report reported nine deaths from Covid-19; meanwhile, 340 confirmed cases and 435 additional probable cases were registered.
With these new data, there are 274 deaths and 21,424 confirmed and probable positives accumulated since the pandemic began.
The reported deaths were classified as confirmed. [19659002] They are broken down as follows: 74-year-old woman from the Metro region; 87-year-old woman from the Metro region; 81-year-old man from the Bayamón region; 80-year-old man from the Bayamón region; 44-year-old woman from the Bayamón region; 75-year-old woman from the Arecibo region; 70-year-old man from the Metro region; 80-year-old woman from the Bayamón region and 75-year-old man from the Bayamón region.
With these reported fatalities, the confirmed deaths total 158 and the probable deaths are 116, so the total number of deaths is 274. Health highlighted that any death registered after the report is issued will be reflected in subsequent reports.
On the other hand, the total of the results of confirmed cases of Covid-19 is 8,573. The total was adjusted after adding three cases; one with a sampling date of July 15, and two with a sampling date of July 16. Of that total, 4,341 are women and 4,232 men. The reported cases are those that have a positive PCR test, with a sample collection date from July 20 to August 5.
As part of the report, 435 additional probable cases were registered, with a sample collection date that includes from July 20 to August 5. In this line, the total is 12,851, after being adjusted, by subtracting 54 cases that had a positive molecular test, later, and were added to the cases registered as part of this report. Similarly, 14 cases were added with a sample collection date from May 6 to July 18. Probable cases are divided into 7,066 women and 5,785 men; four cases are under investigation in this line.
