“As part of the efforts we have been making to improve the operation of operations and the attention of citizens, We will begin to coordinate appointments through the turnospr system. This innovative system will replace that a citizen has to come in person to receive services and expose himself to the emergency of COVID-19. The platform will coordinate a phone call for our Agency personnel to attend the case remotely, "Rivera Santiago said in written statements.
" To continue avoiding the possible contagion of COVID-19, we understand that this alternative offers you greater security. to the claimant in the face of the pandemic that is still affecting us, "added the Holder.
Until today, nearly 300 daily shifts were distributed until July 31, 2020 to be attended in person. The platform will issue the same number of daily shifts (300) that were distributed in the Convention Center.
"What we intend is that the citizen does not have to wait until a face-to-face appointment dated August, when we could attend him before that date, avoiding incurring lines or unnecessary expenses for the citizen, "added the Secretary.
" It is important to indicate that although citizens do not request their appointment, calls are currently being generated under said platform in order of seniority as claimed and established in the system, "he pointed out.
The appointment systempr will start operating from Thursday, July 9, and will have 300 appointments available daily. This technological system has proven to be more efficient and allows attending to a greater number of cases compared to the face-to-face care that was operating.
