
The Health Department report reported two deaths from Covid-19 and another 163 confirmed cases and 118 additional probable cases.
With this, the total of deaths increased to 730 and the accumulated confirmed and probable cases add up to 53,671 since the pandemic began.
Health reported that reported deaths were classified as confirmed and correspond to a 68-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman, both from the Metro region.
With these additional deaths, the confirmed deaths total 551 and the probable deaths are 179, for the total number of deaths of 730.
In addition, the agency announced that the total number of deaths was adjusted after reclassifying a probable death and cataloging it as confirmed, when a molecular test result was documented.
On the other hand, the total of the results of confirmed cases of Covid-19 is 26,776, of which 14,421 are women and 12,355 are men. The total was adjusted after adding 56 cases with a sampling date from May 5 to October 1; in addition, a duplicate case was subtracted. The reported cases are those that have a positive PCR test, with a sampling date of October 2 to 8.
In addition, as part of the report, 118 additional probable cases were registered, with a sampling date ranging from October 2 to 8. In this line, the total is 26,895 after being adjusted, after subtracting 29 cases that had a positive molecular test, later, and were added to the cases registered as part of this report. Probable cases are divided into 15,017 women and 11,878 men.
