Patients hospitalized for COVID-19 in Puerto Rico reach 614


The Department of Health reported today nine deaths by COVID-19, 869 confirmed cases, 59 probable cases Y 396 suspected cases additional.

Of the reported deaths, eight were listed as confirmed. These correspond to a 63-year-old man from the metro region, an 86-year-old man from the Arecibo region, a 76-year-old man from the metro region, a 60-year-old man from the Arecibo region, a 69-year-old man from the Bayamón region, a 59-year-old woman from the metro region, a 60-year-old woman from the Bayamón region and an 87-year-old man from the metro region.

In addition, it was reported a probable death corresponding to a 62-year-old man from the metro region

With these additional deaths, the confirmed deaths total 775 and the probable 216, so the total deaths is 991.

On the other hand, the total confirmed case results is 44,277, of which 23,864 are women and 20,413 are men. The reported cases are those that have a positive PCR test, with sampling date from November 4 to 18. The total was adjusted after adding five cases with a sample collection date from August 28 to November 3.

The report includes the results of the antigen testing, which the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention cataloged as probable cases. The total positive results in these tests is 1,058, which was adjusted after subtracting 29 cases that subsequently had a positive molecular test and were added to the confirmed cases reported in this report. The additional probable cases reported are 59, which include samples taken from November 4 to 18. The distribution by gender is 552 women and 506 men.

As part of the report, 396 additional suspected cases, with sampling date from November 4 to 18. These cases, by definition, are those that have a positive serological test. In this row, the total is 37,569 after being adjusted, by subtracting 70 cases that had a positive molecular test and two cases with a positive antigen test and were added to the cases registered as part of this report. In addition, five cases were added with a sample collection date from October 4 to November 3. Suspected cases are divided into 21,035 women and 16,534 men.

The dashboard Health adds that due to coronavirus there is 614 people hospitalized Y 38,238 convalescent.

In addition, it indicates that there are 98 adult patients and one pediatric patient in intensive care by COVID-19. All 98 patients are connected to a ventilator.
