People over 60 have until today to request an early vote

The State Elections Commission reported that today the term ends for voters over 60 years of age to present their Early Voting Request, to vote in the General Elections on November 3, 2020.

For those voters who have not yet completed the application, we remind you that the requirements are: be 60 years or older, be registered and domiciled in Puerto Rico, have their electoral number and have voted in the last two elections.

They can get the application at a Permanent Enrollment Board (JIP), or download it at www.ceepur.org or vote2020.com. The application must be completed and signed by the voter. You can deliver it to the JIP, send it via email to [email protected] or by regular mail to the following address:

Administrative Board of Absentee and Early Voting, PO Box 192359, San Juan, PR 00919.

In the event that the voter decides to send their Early Voting Request by regular mail, they must ensure that it is received in the mail on September 24, 2020, since the postmark is evidence that the shipment was made in the established date.

The JIPs will be open from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. To find out where the nearest JIP is located, you can send a text message to (787) 338-1616 and enter your zip code. To find out where the nearest JIP is located, you can send a text message to (787) 338-1616 and enter your zip code.
