The Plaza Las Américas shopping center, in Hato Rey, will begin operations today at 11:00 am, while Plaza Del Caribe, in Ponce, will remain closed today.
“Due to weather conditions and taking into consideration the safety of employees, visitors and tenants, Plaza Las Américas will be operating today during special hours from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm. If there is any change, we will notify you. In the case of Plaza Del Caribe, the shopping center will be closed today. Plaza Del Caribe will restart operations tomorrow, Friday, July 31 at regular hours “, indicated Carlos I. Ayala, specialist in Communications and Social Networks of Empresas Fonalledas.
For its part, the Mayagüez Mall will remain closed today, Thursday, 30 due to inclement weather that keeps the western area with heavy rains and wind.
“Due to the storm we are without power and the weather in Mayagüez is very bad,” reported the spokeswoman for the shopping center, Sandra González.
Like many other malls, the Mayagüezano shopping center closed its doors yesterday Wednesday at 5:00 pm so that the store employees could prepare and protect themselves from the atmospheric event.
They were planning to resume operations today, but because there is still a lot of rain, wind and there is no electricity in the area, the management has decided not to open its doors today.
