Portland. Police in Portland arrested anti-police brutality protesters who had gathered in the downtown area on Saturday night.
Shortly after 9:00 pm, officers shot down protesters and detained them while a crowd of hundreds yelled at them. The police told the protesters to back off and get off the streets while making the arrests.
The protesters chanted: “There are no good cops in a racist system!”
Several fired fireworks at the police. KOIN-TV posted a video in which the police warned that protesters throwing projectiles would be arrested.
At 10:00 pm the police left the scene. The protesters continued in the street.
Earlier on Saturday, he said that he said a far-right march and counter-protests largely dispersed his serious violence, although authorities were investigating an attack on a person documenting the events and he was pushed to the ground and kicked in the face.
Separately, police said they issued a criminal summons after officers seized firearms, paint guns, bats and shields from a pickup truck that was initially detained for having its license plates camouflaged as it left a march.
Several hundred people, dozens of them in bulletproof military vests, rallied downtown in support of President Donad Trump and his re-election campaign.
