Mayors of the Popular Democratic Party (PPD) today asked Governor Wanda Vázquez Garced to include in the sixth extraordinary session a bill to separate the Bureau of Emergency Management and Disaster Administration (Nmead) from the Department of Public Security (DSP) , as happened with the Bureau of Forensic Sciences (NCF).
Today, the president held a press conference on the measures to be addressed during the sixth extraordinary session.
“We call on the governor to submit a bill in this direction to take the Emergency Management Agency under the umbrella because it has been proven that it was a complete error,” said Salinas Mayor Karilyn Bonilla , at a press conference.
Meanwhile, the mayor of Villalba, Luis Javier Hernández, added that “we are calling on the governor. As it did with the Institute of Forensic Sciences recently, recognizing that it is an agency that within the umbrella of the DSP has been a failure, because we understand that this call and announcement that the governor made for an extraordinary should be taken advantage of, to include in the same that the State Emergency Management Agency is taken out of the umbrella of the DSP ”.
