The mayor of Morovis, Carmen Maldonado González, reported the detection on Wednesday of a positive case for COVID-19 among employees of the Municipal Public Works Department, a facility that is separate from the Mayor’s Office.
“In accordance with the established process, I have given instructions so that all the employees of that building, 64 people, receive the COVID-19 tests that are necessary and the quarantine that is recommended in these cases. As soon as we have additional information, we will inform the media, for the reassurance of colleagues and the rest of the public, ”the mayor explained in writing.
Last April, Maldonado González reported that after a careful analysis and quotation process, the municipality acquired COVID-19 tests for Moroveños that could show the three common symptoms of the coronavirus which are dry cough, fever and severe difficulty breathing.
Said tests were delivered to the clinical laboratories that participated in the agreement. In the same way, protection material such as masks and plastic gloves were acquired and have been delivered by the communities, along with educational material.
