Preliminary numbers show tight race for mayor of Caguas

Preliminary results for the Caguas mayoralty with 12.09% of the schools reported in the municipality show a tight contest between the incumbent Mayor Popular and his opponent PNP.

With 22 of the 182 schools in Caguas reported, William Miranda Torres of the PPD had 1,627 votes in favor for a total of 47.05 percent.

Roberto López of the New Progressive Party follows with 1,464 votes for a minimal difference between the two.

In third place is the candidate for the Puerto Rican Independence Party, Jason Domenech with 347 votes.
