FAJARDO – The president of the House of Representatives, Carlos ‘Johnny’ Méndez Núñez, participated on Friday night in a caravan through several towns in the East to promote the vote for ‘yes’ in the status consultation.
“This is one of the most important elections in our history and we need all citizens to exercise their right and go out to vote on November 3. Democracies are nourished by participation in their electoral processes, and Puerto Rico needs a robust participation from its voters. The message is clear and forceful: we have to go out and vote, ”said Méndez Núñez in written statements.
“This coming November 3, the decision is clear, the PNP is the only instrument our people have to achieve their highest aspirations. We are not going to increase the contributions to the people, we are not going to increase the electricity services and we are not going to stop until Puerto Rico achieves complete equality with the other states of the union, equality that can only be achieved through statehood . The difference is clear, we believe in Puerto Rico and its potential ”, he added.
Among others, he was accompanied by the mayor of Fajardo, José ‘Joey’ Meléndez Méndez and the candidate for mayor of Ceiba, Samuel ‘Sammy’ Rivera.
