Public safety announces that calls to 9-1-1 will be redirected to another number

The Department of Public Safety (DSP) reported on Monday morning that citizens can now call the 9-1-1 Emergency System.

“After extensive negotiations with the telephone provider companies and thanks to the collaboration of the Telecommunications Bureau, the routing (” call forward “) of calls to the 9-1-1 Emergency System was finally achieved,” the agency told through written statements.

They added that “so that they are redirected to 787-343-2020 where there are personnel available to attend and channel them.”
