AIBONITE – The secretary of the Department of Economic Development and Commerce (DDEC), Manuel Laboy Rivera, announced this Thursday together with Robert Durán, president of the Cooling Systems Caribe company, the expansion of that company with the commitment to invest for the development of a new product line that will supply the demand of various industries located in Puerto Rico.
“Puerto Rican companies continue their expansion. This time it is Cooling Systems Caribe, established in Aibonito since 1991 and dedicated to the production and repair of cooling systems, among other products. Complying with the commitment of the administration of Governor Wanda Vázquez Garced, we support the development of this new line of industrial streamer products. “Laboy Rivera said in a written statement, who highlighted that the island’s manufacturing industry will continue in increase as a result of the efforts of the state government with the federal government.
In passing, the secretary of the DDEC, explained that after Hurricane Maria, Cooling Systems Caribe became the only company to manufacture radiators for industrial, commercial and residential generators. Today, they manufacture radiators and components for a wide variety of industries.
“The expansion of our product line in the Aibonito area represents a significant investment for the future of our company and underscores our commitment to strengthening our presence in Puerto Rico. With this expansion we will be better positioned to manufacture existing and future products, in an experienced and highly recognized work environment. Those that guarantee the timely availability of our products for consumers in Puerto Rico and around the world ”, said the President of Cooling Systems Caribe, Inc.
Given the importance of this type of business and the positive return on investment that it represents for Puerto Rico, the DDEC recommended under the new Incentive Code the granting of funds for the purchase of material and equipment and the retention of 40 employees.
