Puerto Rico continues under storm warning due to Laura's arrival

Storm Laura continues its route to Puerto Rico, although the system lowered its trajectory towards the south of the archipelago, according to the most recent bulletin of the National Meteorological Service (SNM).

At the moment the arrival is expected from Laura to the island and 6 to 8 inches of rain is anticipated in the southern and eastern region of the island and 3 to 6 inches in other areas until tomorrow, Sunday.

In the latest SNM report, Laura It is located at latitude 17.6 north and longitude 65.5 west.

Tropical storm intensity gusting wind conditions are expected over local waters, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. These sustained winds are at about 40 miles, while the event is moving at about 21 miles per hour.

The swell across the Atlantic waters is expected to be between 12 to 16 feet.

By arrival de Laura, Puerto Rico is under a tropical storm warning, flash flood watch, strong surf warning and coastal flood warning.
