Quarantined epidemiologist who runs Smicrc | PRESENT

Epidemiologist Fabiola Cruz López, who directs the Municipal Case Investigation and Contact Tracking System (Smicrc), is in quarantine after her husband tested positive for the coronavirus (Covid-19).

This was reported through social networks.

“November arrived, beginning the battle against Covid-19 in my home. My husband has tested positive, has symptoms, and is in isolation. I took the test immediately yesterday to ensure that I did not put anyone at risk last Friday; I came out negative, ”Cruz López said on Twitter.

Likewise, he expressed that “now it is my turn to quarantine, and take the test next Wednesday, according to the definition of contact and my exposure. Although my husband is a public servant and is at high risk of contagion, there is something very important that I want to emphasize to everyone so that they reflect … Practicing prevention measures in this pandemic is not a decision you make thinking only of you, you have to take into account that your actions impact the people with whom you live, work and interact ”.

“Unfortunately, this is not one that everyone does what they want. This must be an all being part of the answer. We need the real commitment of all levels, from the government to the citizen ”, he concluded.

Health reported today 395 confirmed cases, 149 probable infections and 10 additional deaths. With this, there are 66,661 confirmed and probable cases accumulated since the pandemic began. Meanwhile, deaths total 832.
