
The veteran radio journalist from the southern area, Néstor Figueroa Lugo, died yesterday, Friday, as confirmed by his niece Ayleen Figueroa.
Figueroa Lugo worked for years at the WPAB stations in Ponce and at WEUC, now known as Católica Radio, where he was director of programming.
As detailed by Figueroa on social networks, “Uncle Tobi, you leave us a trail of memories, feats and dreams that inspire those of us who admire you so much.”
Among those who have given condolences to Figueroa Lugo’s widow, Zenaida Rodríguez Rosado, and her children, is the candidate for governor for the Popular Democratic Party, Carlos “Charlie” Delgado Altieri.

Primera Hora confirmed, through the San Ramón Funeral Home in Juana Díaz, that the body will be exposed today in the afternoon and tomorrow in the chapel of the funeral home. On Monday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm there will be an act of public remembrance at the Coliseo Dolores “Tollita” Martínez de Juana Díaz. Then, he will be buried at 2:30 pm. Monday at the Las Mercedes cemetery in Ponce.
