
The veteran radio journalist from the southern zone, Néstor Figueroa Lugo, died yesterday, Friday, as confirmed by his niece Ayleen Figueroa.
Figueroa Lugo worked for years at the WPAB stations in Ponce and at WEUC, currently known as Católica Radio, where he was director of programming.
As detailed by Figueroa on social networks, "Uncle Tobi leaves us a trail of memories, feats and dreams that inspire those of us who admire you so much."
Among those who have Given the condolences to Figueroa Lugo's widow, Zenaida Rodríguez Rosado, and her children, is the candidate for governor for the Popular Democratic Party, Carlos “Charlie” Delgado Altieri.

Primera Hora confirmed, through the San Ramón Funeral Home in Juana Díaz, that the body will be exhibited today in the afternoon and tomorrow in the chapel of the funeral home. Monday from 9:00 a.m. at 2:00 p.m. an act of public remembrance will be held at the Coliseo Dolores "Tollita" Martínez de Juana Díaz. Then, he will be buried at 2:30 pm. Monday at the Las Mercedes cemetery in Ponce.
