Bassist John Patitucci, drummer Terry Lyne Carrington, and guitarists Peter Bernstein, Lage Lund and Gilad Hekselman will be just some of the great exponents present at the Global Music Venue Jazz Fest, which will take place virtually, from 15 to January 17.
These luxury guests will be joined by saxophonists Melissa Aldana and Alexa Tarantino, as well as pianists Larry Goldings, Kenny Werner, Sullivan Fortner and Tom Oren.
For their part, saxophonist Ben Solomon and trumpeter Milena Casado will be in charge of opening the presentations by Alexa Tarantino and Melissa Aldana, respectively.
But that is not all. In addition to musical participation, some will offer master classes exclusively for music students and teachers in Puerto Rico and other classes open to undergraduate students from other institutions.
Also some of the artists will have spaces for questions and answers after their musical presentation.
“Our intention is to bring entertainment to homes and, at the same time, promote the musical education of young people in Puerto Rico,” said Lolivone de la Rosa, producer of the festival and guitarist with a scholarship from Berklee College of Music.
Tickets to the festival are $ 15 per concert, while masterclasses by Peter Bernstein and Alexa Tarantino will be free.
