
The Mayagüez Highway and Patrol Division investigates a fatal incident in which a man was killed while working on a recycling collection truck.
The events were reported today at 4:15 p.m. on the highway 103 km 2.7 of the municipality of Cabo Rojo. According to the preliminary police report, Raúl Armando Lugo Castillo was driving a truck of the WR Recycling company in an apparent state of intoxication when one of the passengers, identified as Efraín Marquez Ujaque, 49, slipped from the truck, falling on the pavement. and being thrown by the rear tires of the truck, killing him.
Lugo Castillo refused to carry out the breath alcohol test, so he was placed under arrest. Investigation continues.
