Authorities reported that a 41-year-old man drowned yesterday afternoon, Tuesday, in Playa Escondida, located in the Las Croabas neighborhood of Fajardo.
As reported by the Police, they received a call from the 9-1-1 emergency system warning about a person dragged by water currents. Upon arriving at the scene, they found the body of Wilfredo Lugo Sánchez, a resident of San Juan.
Lugo Sánchez was assisted at the scene by paramedics, but he showed no vital signs.
Agents, attached to the Fajardo Area Criminal Investigation Corps (CIC), together with prosecutor Karen Calo, were in charge of investigating this incident.
