Carolina – The representative for District 38, Javier Aponte Dalmau, notified on Friday, that he tested positive for COVID-19.
“Although I have always taken precautions to avoid a possible contagion of COVID, I am aware of the exposure that I have as a legislator when I maintain contact with so many people. That is why, since the beginning of the pandemic, I have kept getting regular tests. Unfortunately my last test was positive and I was notified on Wednesday night. In a responsible manner and fulfilling my duty, I immediately informed my family and friends so that they were aware of their health and will take the necessary measures, “said Aponte Dalmau in written statements.
“For my part, I am complying with the isolation process to avoid more infections,” said the legislator.
Aponte Dalmau assured that he does not present symptoms, and that despite the virus, he will not stop his work, but will continue to do it remotely.
