Caguas – Salsero Edgardo Israel died this Sunday because of COVID-19.

“The artist who was given the task of keeping the music alive and imitating the salsa singer Marvin Santiago, Edgardo Israel Díaz Olmeda (whose stage name is Edgardo Israel), died at dawn on Sunday, due to COVID 19,” said Aldo Rodríguez, friend of the family and companion in the childhood and youth of the salsa singer.

“With a lot of pain in our souls, we report that Edgardo Israel, a Caguas resident who worked as a financial advisor in the Puerto Rico Legislature, died from the COVID 19 pandemic,” said Rodríguez.

“Edgardo Israel undertook the task of keeping alive the legacy of the salsa singer Marvin Santiago, which is why he was also known as“ Marvellous ”and“ El Huracán del Sabor ”. As soon as we have more information, we will send it to you, ”Rodríguez concluded.
