Salud Integral en la Montaña has performed 10,700 COVID-19 tests


The non-profit organization Salud Integral en la Montaña (SIM) reported today that it reached the figure of 10,700 tests performed for COVID-19 at its facilities and in its service area. Of these, 546 positive tests were obtained in 473 unique patients, divided into 247 confirmatory molecular tests and 299 in rapid tests.

Molecular tests were purchased with the non-profit organization's own funds, which have allowed a collaborative agreement with the mayors of the municipalities of Barranquitas, Orocovis, Naranjito and Toa Alta and other amount through the Alliance of Community Health Centers. The rapid (serological) tests were donated by the Puerto Rico Department of Health.
