
The Secretary of the Department of Health, Lorenzo González Feliciano, reported that he tested positive for coronavirus (Covid-19).
“After having been traveling for the past few days, I took the Covid-19 test, which yielded a positive result. Responsibly, I will remain in isolation for the recommended time, according to the Office of Epidemiology of the Department of Health,” he reported in written statements.
The official explained that he informed the people with whom he had contact in the past few days to start the contact tracing.
González Feliciano was traveling in recent days with Governor Wanda Vázquez. Last Wednesday, October 7, she participated in a meeting in which the governor was present, as well as members of the Fiscal Control Board.

In a photo shared by the governor on her social networks, the head of Health is seen sitting next to her during the meeting, in which the inclusion of over 200,000 citizens in the government’s health plan was discussed.
The governor reported on October 8 that she had a negative molecular test after her return to the island. At that time, she indicated that the test would be repeated in five days.
