The Public Housing Administration (AVP) reported that the Section 8 Program launched a new online portal that allows participants to access the various services of the program.
Among some of the services available are the possibility that participants can collate annual reviews; collate interim reviews or adjustments; request a change of residence; request an appointment and follow up; as well as make a change of address, telephone or email.
Users will also be able to track the moving process, report changes, take orientations, complete recertifications, and download documents.
“These times present new challenges that little by little we have been addressing. Today with this tool that we are launching for all participants of the Section 8 program, we offer alternatives to facilitate access to various transactions while taking preventive measures of social distancing, ”explained AVP administrator, William Rodríguez Rodríguez in written statements.
Similarly, the official stressed that “following the instructions of Governor Wanda Vázquez Garced, and what has been our public policy, with this portal we offer access to the program’s services in a safe and efficient manner.”
Participants must register on the portal to access the services. The portal will be available on the AVP page, www.avp.pr.gov, under the Services tab.
Similarly, the administrator announced that he hopes to announce a new technological tool for Public Housing residents soon.
