Senator asks to include taking the temperature of voters

San Juan – The senator, Luis Daniel Muñiz, requested this Tuesday that within the security plan for the day of the elections the temperature of the attendees be taken and COVID-19 tests can be carried out.

“Within the security protocols for the day of the elections they must include taking the temperature of the voters. This mechanism will provide peace of mind to voters while helping and avoiding greater risks, “said Muñiz, noting that if the temperature is high, the Department of Health has nearby areas to perform the COVID-19” rapid test “and thus do a good monitoring in the face of increases in infections and deaths on the Island.

“You cannot lower your guard against COVID-19 but we must still live with the virus without depriving us in this case of our citizen responsibility to vote,” said the legislator in written statements.
