A disturbance that moves through the tropical Atlantic towards the Caribbean maintains a low probability of cyclonic development for the next few days, according to the National Hurricane Center (CNH) in Miami this morning.
“A westward tropical wave is producing downpours and some disorganized thunderstorms over the central tropical Atlantic. A slow development of this system is possible this afternoon this weekend or early next week as the wave continues to move to the west between 15 to 20 mph, “the CNH indicated in its bulletin of the outlook for the tropics at 8:00. in the morning.
The CNH however indicates that this system has a small window to be able to develop because “the winds in the upper atmosphere are forecast to become unfavorable for further development by the middle of next week.”
Hurricane season runs through November 30.
