Strong thunderstorm affects municipalities in the north and inland

A strong thunderstorm, accompanied by rains and winds, moves through the interior north of Puerto Rico, as warned by the National Meteorological Service (SNM) in San Juan.

“At 9:45 a.m. Strong electrical storms clustered over Pajaros, or Bayamón, moving southwest at 10 mph. Winds in excess of 30 mph are possible with this storm. Torrential rains are also occurring with this storm, and can cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooding roads ", indicated the SNM.

" With this storm there are frequent lightning strikes from cloud to ground. Lightning can strike 10 miles from a storm. Find a safe place inside a building or vehicle ", recommends SNM.

" This storm may intensify, "concludes the statement.
