Talent to spare at an art contest

For the twenty-seventh consecutive year the Cooperativa de Seguros Múltiples celebrated his expected Art Coop Contest, with about 300 participating works.

Under the motto Christmas rhythm and color, mirror of imagination, the contest – held “remotely” in compliance with health and safety regulations – It gave free rein to the creativity of students aged 14 to 18 in the development of the official Christmas card of the company.

The winners of the contest were:

  • Selected card and first place category school specialized in art: Diego Lizardi González, from the Central Specialized School of Visual Arts of San Juan with a prize of $ 600
  • First place category of non-specialized art school: Francisco Javier Román Renta, from the Academia Espíritu Santo of Toa Baja, with a prize of $ 500
  • Second place: Anna I. Rivera Rodríguez, from the Aguadilla Training and Fine Arts Center, with a prize of $ 400.
  • Third place: Israel D. Serrano Feliciano, from the Arecibo Adventist Academy, with a $ 300 prize.

The jury that selected the winners was made up of teachers Nelson Sambolín and Carmelo Fontánez, and the Communication Advisor of the Cooperativa de Seguros Múltiples, Madeline Ramírez.

Every year we are moved by the sensitivity of the young artists who participate in ArteCoop, whose works interpret a theme related to our culture. This year is no exception, so we congratulate each and every contestant. We feel a deep appreciation and respect for our youth who know how to channel their emotions through art, and we wish them to continue cultivating this mode of expression that is so important to our village culture, ”said President Juan A.
