1. Where is the furniture?

The whereabouts of the allegedly missing furniture in La Fortaleza was again a topic of discussion this weekend when Governor Wanda Vázquez indicated that the investigation is nearing completion. He indicated that, in his case, there was no transition with the Pedro Pierluisi administration or the resigning Governor Ricardo Rosselló. Both replied that Vázquez Garced was wrong. The merchandise has a value of $ 15,000.

2. It does not stop shaking

A new wave of earthquakes shook Puerto Rico yesterday, originating in the town of Guánica, but felt in other municipalities. The movements occurred at 2:42 a.m. of magnitude 4.8, and another three minutes later, of 4.37. The tremors continued throughout the morning. No tsunami threat was generated. Puerto Rico has been experiencing numerous tremors since December 28, some such as that of January 7, 6.4 in intensity, causing destruction in residences, buildings, churches and structures.

3. Beach Tournament Canceled

The seven beach volleyball tournaments that make up the 2020 Norceca Circuit were canceled, affecting Puerto Rican players. The cancellation was announced by the Norceca Confederation, as the coronavirus prevents players from traveling to tournament venues, in addition to the fact that the organizers have had sponsor problems.

4. Chef Edgardo Noel closes his restaurant

Chef Edgardo Noel announced the closure of his Rosangélica restaurant, located in Camuy. "I am very sorry for those people who wanted to visit the restaurant and did not have the opportunity (to visit it)," he said on social media. The talent from Day to Day announced that, despite the decision, he continues to work on new projects. In addition, he shared that in August the store will open under the name Porta Tropical, in charge of “a great friend who is a talented chef and young entrepreneur.”

He announced that he continues to work on other projects. ⠀

5. Alarming number of infections in Florida

Florida health authorities reported a new record for coronavirus infections on Saturday by reporting more than 9,500 additional patients. The state reported 9,585 new cases of COVID-19 and 24 coronavirus-related deaths in a single day. The new cases bring the total in Florida to 132,545 with 3,390 deaths.
