SAN JUAN – The initiative “Fill them with Joy with Nesquik®” managed to collect $ 5,000 which will be used to continue contributing to the Happy Backpack program of the Food Bank of PR. The La Mochila Alegre program delivers food to children between 5 and 12 years old who depend on the school cafeteria for their food sustenance and a backpack is provided for them during the 52 weekends of the year. In addition, the company donated 1,860 bottles of Nesquik RTD to strengthen the program.

“This year, knowing the great uncertainty in the education sector and the need that caused the closure of school canteens, we worked with the Food Bank’s Happy Backpack program to ensure that children from different parts of the island could have access to food and nutrition. It has been extremely gratifying to work with this entity to carry our message of nutrition, well-being and joy and without a doubt we hope to continue collaborating in the future ”, said Sonibel Acosta, Category Sales Development Manager, Nestlé, PR, Inc.

The people who participated in “Fill them with Joy with Nesquik®” shared joyful moments by uploading a photo to the “inbox” of the initiative’s “Fan page” ‘together with their favorite Nesquik® product.

The winners obtained one of ten backpacks that were delivered by the bunny Nesquik®, following the entire protocol of this time of pandemic. These backpacks also had a laptop, school supplies and Nesquik® products. The ten winners were: Xiomara Olivo Torres de Ponce; Faransheilly Ortega Pérez de San Sebastián; Zinia Mercado from Carolina, Sirmarie Camacho from Guayanilla; Doralis Rivera Aguayo from Trujillo Alto, Gabriel Torres from Bayamón; Nadja Liz Muriel from Guaynabo; Alba Nydia Ramos Ferreira de Juncos; Mariel Washington Colón from Trujillo Alto and Zenaida Figueroa Rivera from Barranquitas.

“We thank Nesquik® for his message of joy in these challenging moments and his contribution of $ 5,000.0 to the Mochila Alegre program to continue bringing food to underage students in Puerto Rico in a nutritious way,” Denise L Santos concluded, President of the Food Bank of PR.
