The mayor of Aguadilla swears in

The elected mayor of Aguadilla, Julio Roldán Concepción was sworn in on Saturday, in an intimate ceremony with his immediate family.

“I am pleased to inform the people of Aguadilla that this morning, Superior Judge Soraya Méndez Polanco took the oath to officially assume the position of Mayor of Aguadilla. With God, my family and you I assume this obligation to guide this city towards its best days. Today a new government begins in Aguadilla. A sensitive, honest government capable of transforming the crisis into progress for all, ”the mayor said in written statements.

“Since I was elected by my brothers from Aguadilla, we have worked tirelessly to learn about the fiscal situation and the work that we must give it continuity. We also began to collaborate with the National Guard to start the vaccination process in Agudilla soon. That is my commitment; work for my people, “he added.

The official swearing-in acts will take place on Friday, January 15 from 4 p.m. in front of the mayor’s office and will be sworn in by the former president of the House of Representatives and judge of the Appellate Court, Carlos Vizcarrondo. To comply with the physical distancing there will only be 150 guests. A giant screen will be set up near El Parterre where people will be able to witness the swearing in in a “drive in” type of accommodation.
