The Health Department report reported five deaths from Covid-19; meanwhile, 77 confirmed cases and 28 additional probable cases were registered.
With this, they add up to 13,038 confirmed and probable cases.
Meanwhile, the agency reported in its 'dashboard' 415 hospitalized by the virus, which represents a 40 hospitalizations increase compared to yesterday's figure.
Of the 415 people hospitalized, there are 49 patients in intensive care and 31 with ventilators. No pediatric patient is hospitalized for the virus.
Among the fatalities reported today, three are listed as confirmed. They correspond to two men, 87 and 60 years old, from the regions of Mayagüez and Caguas, respectively; and a 68-year-old woman from the Ponce region. In addition, there were two probable deaths, corresponding to two women, aged 70 and 77, both from the metro region.
With the additional fatalities, the total confirmed deaths are 84 and the probable ones add up to 101, therefore, the total of deaths is 185.
The agency established that the change in the number of deaths should not be interpreted as having occurred in the last 24 hours.
On the other hand, the total results of confirmed cases Covid-19 is 4,330, which was adjusted by subtracting two duplicate cases with a sampling date of April 16 and July 9. Of this total, 2,201 are women and 2,129 men. The reported cases are those that have a positive PCR test, with a sample collection date of July 13 to 18.
On the other hand, 28 additional probable cases were registered, with a sample collection date from 15 to July 19, 2020. In this line, the total is 8,708, after being adjusted, by subtracting four cases that had a positive molecular test, subsequently, and added to the cases registered as part of this report. Similarly, a duplicate case with a sample collection date of July 10 was subtracted. Probable cases are divided into 4,724 women and 3,984 men.
