
The Health Department report reported seven deaths from Covid-19; meanwhile, there were 399 confirmed cases and 370 additional probable cases.
With these cases, there are 20,686 confirmed and probable cases accumulated since the pandemic began.
Of the reported deaths, five were cataloged as confirmed. These are: 51-year-old man from the Mayagüez region; 71-year-old man from the Bayamón region; 80-year-old woman from the Bayamón region; 71-year-old man from the Bayamón region and 79-year-old man from the Mayagüez region.
On the other hand, two probable deaths were reported corresponding to two men, 64 and 62 years old, from the Mayagüez regions and Metro, respectively.
With these reported fatalities, the confirmed deaths add up to 149 and the probable deaths are 116, so the total number of deaths is 265. It is important to remember that any death recorded after the report is issued will be reflected. in subsequent reports.
On the other hand, the total results for confirmed cases of Covid-19 is 8,230. The total was adjusted after adding seven cases; one with a sample collection date of April 21, five with a sample collection date of July 13 and one with a July 17 sample. Of that total, 4,141 are women and 4,089 men. The reported cases are those that have a positive PCR test, with a sample collection date of July 21 to August 4.
As part of the report, 370 additional probable cases were registered, with a sample collection date that includes from July 22 to August 4. In this line, the total is 12,456, after being adjusted, by subtracting 58 cases that had a positive molecular test, subsequently, and added to the cases registered as part of this report. Similarly, 34 cases were added with a sample collection date from May 14 to July 21. Probable cases are divided into 6,835 women and 5,621 men; four cases are under investigation in this line.
