The reopening of the Parque de Las Cavernas del Río Camuy has already been dated

The Parque de las Cavernas del Río Camuy will reopen its doors next Wednesday, March 24, 2021, reported today the mayor of the Romantic City, Gabriel “Gaby” Hernández.

This morning, Hernández received a visit from the Secretary of the Department of Natural Resources, Rafael Machargo and Carlos Mercado Santiago, Executive Director of the Puerto Rico Tourism Company, to mainly address the issue of the important and colossal Camuyan tourist attraction.

“For us the visit we are receiving today is important, because we can talk about this space, but if we observe first-hand the magnitude and importance that Parque de las Cavernas has for our area, with no room for doubts allows us to have a broad and clear vision of what we express, visits like those of today allow us to announce with great satisfaction that the reopening of the Parque de Las Cavernas, will be a reality and that They will be receiving public from next Wednesday, March 24 2021 ”, communicated the Mayor.

The Parque de las Cavernas de Río Camuy closed its doors after Hurricane María passed through the island and since then there have been countless efforts for the area to receive the tourist and economic impact of being the installation that by its entrails it runs through the third largest Underground River in the world.
