
The mascot of the Mayagüez University Campus (RUM), “Tarzán XI” died today at the age of 12 from an apparent heart attack.
The sad news was released this afternoon through the social networks of the Mayaguez campus of the University of Puerto Rico.
“It is with sadness that we announce the death of our mascot Tarzan XI, who died today at 12 years of age from an apparent heart attack. We share photos of their latest official activities, “the letter reads.
Tarzan XI is expected to be buried on the grounds of the RUM Portico, as has been the tradition since 1940.
